Fojnica (Pass By)

Today, Fojnica is best known for its spa, whose radioactivity and medicinal properties were tested at the end of the 19th century. The exploitation of the spa began after the First World War. Fojnica was conquered by the Ottoman Empire in the spring of 1463. It was found to be the second largest town in Bosnia, with only Srebrenica being bigger than Fojnica. The number of inhabitants in Fojnica continued to decline. Under Ottoman rule, the settlement was annexed to the Visoca nahija in the 17th and 18th centuries. After our hiking tour, we will stop by Fojnica for lunch.

The waterfalls can be admired from a lovely viewing point along the path. We'll take a stroll down to the waterfall plateau so you can soak in the beauty of the Kozice waterfalls.
