The beach falls within Zone A (full protection) of the La Maddalena Archipelago national park and since 1994 (the year the park was established) access, transit, parking and bathing have been prohibited. Navigation alone is possible as long as it is slow moving and up to the edge of the buoys which are located approximately 70 meters from the shore closing the bay.
