Seville was an important administrative and commercial center of the Roman Empire, then one of the most important in Al-Andalus, and under Almohad rule, reached its maximum splendor. With the Reconquest by Ferdinand III, Seville became a prominent center of Christianity. The Jewish community also left a very visible mark in Seville.

To explore Seville of the three cultures is to immerse yourself in a rich history of coexistence and transformation. Every corner of the city, every monument and every neighborhood tells the story of how Roman, Muslim, Christian and Jewish influences intertwined to create the unique Seville.
