The geology of this region is characterized by Navajo sandstone, which was deposited millions of years ago during the Jurassic period when this area was a vast desert. Over time, the shifting sands solidified into rock, forming the dramatic cliffs and arches we see today. The soft sandstone erodes easily, creating fascinating rock formations, narrow canyons, and arches like Babylon Arch.

This tour is just outside of Zion, which makes it a more peaceful, uncrowded hike. Visitors will get a mix of geology, wildlife, and adventure that's perfect for families and nature enthusiasts looking to experience the quieter side of Southern Utah’s desert beauty. What you will see during our time out there:1. Babylon Arch: A natural sandstone arch sculpted by wind and water that is perfect for pictures and fun to climb on.2.
