Overview
Dive in and discover the wonderful underwater world just off the shores of Tenerife. In crystal clear water you will see the abundant marine life and amazing volcanic rock formations surrounding the island. With a maximum student to instructor ratio of 2:1 will be in very safe hands as you experience your first breaths underwater. This first dive is to a maximum depth of 6 metres and, subject to the successful completion of a few elementary skills, subsequent dives can be made to a depth of 12 metres.

What To Expect
We start at the dive center, to prepare the equipment and give a briefing on how the equipment works, how to communicate underwater and what to expect. We drive to Los Cristianos where the dive takes place from Las Vistas beach. We walk into the water across a gently sloping sandy beach and some basic skills of SCUBA will be explained to you at the surface. We then make the dive following along a breakwater which provides shelter and therefore a habitat for various marine creatures, which regularly includes sea horses and baby angel sharks! The dive lasts around 40 minutes. Afterwards you can return to the Dive Center or depart from Las Vistas, or a drop off to your hotel can be arranged.

No, you don’t need to have any previous Scuba experience, but you must be able to swim without a flotation device.
Mar 2022Participants in the Discover Scuba Diving from the shore, Playa de las Americas cannot fly in an airplane within 24 hours of their dive.
The main concern with scuba diving and flying is decompression sickness (DCS). Your body needs adequate time during an ascent to off-gas excess nitrogen, or you can form bubbles in your bloodstream, possibly leading to DCS.
Jun 2024- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the tour start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the tour start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
