Small Group Snorkeling in Abades Bay with Licensed Guide
Overview
Abades is a local village on the east coast of the island, away from the tourist area. This makes it a quiet area, with a quiet, sandy, natural beach. Since fishing is forbidden here and there isn´t much movement at the surface, like swimmers and boat traffic, the ocean here is full of life, which you find close to shore.
Our snorkel spots are easily accessible from this beach, which we find a minute's walk away from our dive center.
If you'd like to eat or drink anything after snorkeling, you´ll find small restaurants with outside terraces and a supermarket directly on the cozy square in front of our center.
Non-snorkers will enjoy the beach.

What To Expect
Discover the wonderful underwater world of the Atlantic Ocean in the protected bay of Abades on Tenerife. No previous experience is needed, and within our small groups, you will get very personal attention.
Upon arrival at the dive center, you will be provided with your new outfit, which consists of a wetsuit, mask, snorkel, and fins. Your instructor will explain to you how to use the equipment and how we should behave in the water.
You will then be transported to another world, accessible directly from the beach, and experience how it feels to breathe underwater through a snorkel while floating at the surface. Hold your breath and try to swim down a few meters underwater; it's good fun!
No previous experience is needed for this snorkel adventure to explore our beautiful, vulcanic house reef. You might see sleeping octopus and be followed by schools of inquisitive fish of a huge variety of shapes, colors, and sizes, like trumpetfish, parrotfish, rays, and starfish. Who knows? You might see a seahorse or come face-to-face with a turtle.
After an hour of snorkeling with a guide, you are allowed to use the snorkeling equipment and discover more of our bay by yourself.
