What To Expect
Upon arrival at Teide National Park, situated at an altitude of 2,200 metres above sea level, we proceed to explore the vast volcanic caldera that has been transformed into an exceptional and renowned valley. We proceed along a route at the base of the substantial stratovolcano Teide, which forms the roof of Spain and the Atlantic Ocean. At 3,715 metres, it is also the third largest underwater volcano in the world. Additionally, the National Park offers the opportunity to view its predecessor, which last erupted in 1798: Pico Viejo. As we traverse the lava fields, we will gain an understanding of the various types of volcanic material, while taking in an impressive landscape of domes, rocks, pitons, large craters, petrified lava waterfalls, immense chimneys, and an extraordinary lunar landscape. This natural area was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007 and has served as the backdrop for numerous celebrated science fiction films. We will observe the unique endemic flora and fauna, which have adapted to the extreme climatic conditions. This natural area was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2007 and has been the setting for famous science fiction films.
