Overview

Venice is a unique city, where land merges with water; alleys and canals are part of the same, dense fabric, connecting the city side by side in an almost incomprehensible way.
This is why walking and boating are the two main ways to discover the secrets of Venice: this private guided tour will allow you to enjoy both of them.
After a pleasant stroll, which will touch iconic locations such as Piazza San Marco, you will board on a typical "gondola", a small rowing boat which is one of the symbols of Venice worldwide. In about half an hour, cradled by the placid waters of shady canals, you will witness the beauties of this amazing city form a completely different point of view.

Basilica di San Marco (Pass By)

A symbol of Venice, Italy and even Christianity, the Basilica stands at the Eastern edge of Piazza San Marco. Its current appearance derives from the 11th century construction, which replaced a pristine core dating back to the 9th century. The decoration was added along the following centuries, often coming from the spoliation of other buildings during wars. Due to this heterogeneous process, the Basilica has reached its current complexity of shape, colors and shading.

Ponte dei Sospiri (Pass By)

One of the most famous bridges in Venice was built in the 17th century in a Baroque style. It connects the Ducal Palace to the "Prigioni Nuove", the main jail in Venice at that time and it was used to take prisoners to the Inquirers to be judged. This destination, according to the tradition, motivates its name: the prisoners sighed while passing the bridge, thinking about their lost freedom.

City Boat Tours wants to make your searches as relevant as possible. That's why we offer many ways to help you find the right experiences for you.

On some pages, you can select how to sort the results we display and also use filter options to see only those search results that meet your chosen preferences. You'll see explanations of what those sort options mean when you select them.

If you see a Badge of Excellence label, the award is based on average review ratings, share of bookings with a review, and number of bookings through City Boat Tours over a 12-month period.

The importance of any one factor over any other in a sort order varies, and the balance is constantly being reviewed and adjusted. We're always updating our systems and testing new ways to refine and improve your results to make them as relevant as possible to meet your needs.
