Did you know at one point he ran the largest distillery in the country? You’ll come away with a completely new perspective on the nation’s first president on this exploration of Mount Vernon. You’ll get to see the daily workings of the estate, including the blacksmith’s shop, the greenhouse, and the fruit garden in addition to getting an insight into lives of the enslaved people who worked on the estate.
