Overview

Join an evening excursion and follow cryptic radio transmissions and the lingering traces of two long-ago hikers to find the scenic trailhead where the real journey begins. This pathway leads toward a place filled with beauty, and proof that the legends of Whistler are true. Moment Factory, a global leader in video, lighting, sounds and special effects, will bring Whistler’s forests to life this summer with a brand-new show.

This 1.5 km (summer) / 1km (winter) trail through an old growth forest will take visitors of all ages on an hour-long multimedia night walk in pursuit of hidden wonders.

The entire experience takes place outside within a trail network which is partially levelled but not asphalted.

Please note the Summer course involves staircases.

Getting To Cougar Mountain Basecamp: Sixteen Mile Creek Forest Service Rd, Whistler BC, V0N 1B8Option to self drive or take our free shuttle Free shuttle is subject to capacity (24 seats) and operates on the hour at the Whistler Village Gateway Loop. Departure times change over the season as the days get longer and showtimes start later. Please double check our transportation page on our website to confirm shuttle schedules.Base camp is just a 10 minute drive north of Whistler Village on Highway 99. After turning off the highway at our large wooden sign that says "Welcome to Cougar Mountain", a short uphill drive through the forest will take you to the Base Camp where you will see signs that say "Welcome To Base Camp". The Parking lot entrance will be to the right of this sign.If using Google Maps, search "Cougar Mountain Rd, Whistler, BC". If using Apple Maps, search "The Adventure Group" and select the option that says "Sixteen Mile Creek" and follow the directions.

Vallea Lumina

Every evening after the sun sets, the magic of Vallea Lumina begins. This activity is family friendly and all ages are welcome to marvel at the hidden wonders of forest.Guests will arrive at our quaint Cougar Mountain basecamp, where they can enjoy free parking, offerings from our Café like hot chocolate, cookies and s'mores kits that can enjoyed by our fire-pits and washroom facilities.At tour time, guests will be check in by our Rangers and begin the 1km trail through an enchanted forest. The unpaved trails winds through the forest and over rivers, with magical lights and mysterious sounds guiding the way. Vallea Lumina leads toward a place filled with beauty, and proof that the legends of Whistler are true.
