This tour includes visiting the most interesting sites in the historical centre of Zadar.

Zadar is city more than 2000 years old with incredibly turbulent history. Its position between the eastern and western forces of Europe, as well as the very important place on the sea route between Middle East and Europe enabled it to be a very important place and the middle of wars at many occasions. Our local professional tour guide is full of knowledge, vibrant and cheerful person ready to show you the most interesting landmarks and monuments of the city whose fortress system is classified as UNESCO World Heritage site.

The Five Wells Square

16th century entrance to the city is the most important Venetian monument in whole Dalmatia. It is on the UNESCO Heritage Site list together with fortification walls and you will see why the Ottomans never managed to conquer Zadar, despite trying few times. The monument is also nicely decorated and was considered to be too expensive by many Venetians at the time of built.
