I had a great time on the 3 day trip in K'Gari. Our tour guide Amy was fantastic. There was plenty of activities and time to relax. Overall a brilliant experience exploring the island with Dingo's!

Never taken a day trip on our many travels. This was an Awesome day out. Great hosts, great food, great experiences. Nothing was a problem. Highlights were the tube ride, kayaking, climbing the cliff for an awesome view!

We had an amazing day! The island is beautiful, the crew members are really nice and knowledgeable, we did lots of different activities. We were the only tour on the western side of the island , so there were barely any people around (besides a few campers) - it was very quiet and peaceful. I would absolutely recommend! :)

We had a fantastic day! Paul our guide is so knowledgeable and was able to share so much information with us about the history of the island. We got to visit Lake McKenzie, Eli Creek, Maheno shipwreck and were lucky enough to spot some Dingos on our trip! The lunch provided was very good, fresh and tasty. I would highly recommend this tour when you don’t have a lot of time to spend in the area as we were able to see so much in such a short time.

Felt like it could have been better organized in the beginning. We were to meet at 7am. It took some time getting people checked in. There were 3 tours leaving that morning - my 2 day and two 3 days. It seemed like there was 1 person checking in all people because she was going between the 2 rooms of people. So there was time time spent waiting around while she did her thing. Then she gave the safety presentation. By this time I believe it was about 8:45. There was then some time to load the cars, people could go into town for last minute purchases (mostly alcohol). People could also exchange their money so they could shower at the campsite - the showers only take $2 coins. This should have been included in the packing list they emailed us. The 2 day got to leave first, since we have less time. I believe we started driving just after 9:15.It's worth noting that tours will differ between guides. It will also be affected by the tides and beach condition. I think that should be clearer on the tour listing. The listing mentions a stop at Central Station Rainforest with a 1.8km self guided walk. I was hoping for this but we didn't do this on my tour. Starry was a great guide though! Legend!For our first day, we stopped at Eurong for lunch - diy wraps and fruit. We could also stop by the general store, bakery, or toilet during this stop. After this we drove through rainforest, made a quick stop to look at a nice tree (not part of the tour typically) and then got to Lake McKenzie where we had an hour to do as we wish. After that it was the drive to the campsite. Aside from making dinner (sausages and steak), it was pretty much free time for the rest of the night. If you want, you could mingle with other tour groups though most people didn't. There are outlets if you need to charge your phone (though most of the island doesn't have good cell service fyi). Definitely recommend walking to the beach and looking at the stars!! As for sleeping, there were 2 person tents. Each person had a sleeping pad, sleeping bag, and pillow. I slept quite well actually! Personally, didn't notice any issue with noise but it depends on who is on the tour and how light of a sleeper you are.The next morning started at 7:30. We stopped by a cafe somewhere a few minutes north of the campsite. You could buy coffee or something if you wanted. Then we headed down to the S.S. Maheno. We probably spent around 10 minutes there. Then we went to Eli Creek and had 2 hours there. Recommend bringing a rubber ring so you can float down the creek (again something not mentioned in packing list but was mentioned during the morning briefing). There may be some available if people were good and brought them back but there's no guarantees. There were also snacks available. After this we drove down to the same lunch spot in Eurong. And after lunch (which was the same as the day prior but different protein for the wraps) made our way back to Rainbow Beach.I didn't do any driving but I believe everyone who wanted to drive had plenty of opportunity to do so. This tour has a lot car time. You are on the 75 mile beach after all. Overall I like that this tour made the island more accessible as I would not have seen it without a tour. It's cool learning about and seeing the largest sand island. But it didn't leave me wanting to return. Just not quite my cup of tea. Also it's busy easter weekend so I don't recommend it. And we did see a few dingoes while we were driving along the beach but probably less than usual because there's so many people around for easter.

This is one of the most incredible experiences of my life, 10/10 recommend. If you get Rhett as your guide, count your lucky stars because this man carries the show with his care and passion for the island and looking after his group. He went the extra mile and played us live music in the evenings and taught us about the stars by the camp fire. I can easily say he’s provided the best tour experience from my many years of travelling. Thank you Rhett, I’ll be setting up a Google alert for your podcast and book!

Bob was really knowledgeable about the island and answered any questions you had. The house was lovely to stay in and very clean.

A wonderful day, the rhythm of travelling, site seeing and relaxing time was adequatw for such a long day. Our guide was fantastic, sharing information and knowledge, with a great energy. A great souvenir to be.

Unfortunately our trip had to be cancelled due to heavy weather conditions. The team handled this very professionally and refunded our money promptly even cancellation happened after their deadline. We would always use the for a similar trip in the future.

Had an amazing experience exploring K’gari. The stops were well-timed, and our guide, Jeff, made sure everyone was comfortable. The history and stories about the island made it even more special.

My wife & I did the tour with Hervey Bay Whale Watch - Quick Cat II crew for our 20th Wedding Anniversary and had an absolute blast, staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and fun to be around. The captain (I think his name was Mark) even fished my watch from the bottom of the water after I lost it jumping from the top deck of the boat. Highly recommended.David

Jean (our driver ) on K’gari (Fraser island ) Explorer 4 day tour was nothing short of amazing. He is so knowledgeable on all things K’gari including the history, plants etc but more importantly his driving was fabulous. It would not be easy to drive on the sand and bush tracks there. I am a terribly nervous passenger and I felt comfortable the whole time. Our group just loved him - :)The whole thing was fabulous. We saw all the highlights and I felt it represented excellent value for money. We loved Kingfisher resort the most but K’gari resort was fine too - great staff, gorgeous pool, excellent food etc.The highlights for me were Lake McKenzie, the walk to Wabby Lake, Eli Creek and champagne pools but it was all totally amazing.Thanks so much Jean :). I highly recommend this tour if you are thinking of going to Fraser Island. Much better than trying to drive yourself around or missing some of the highlights.

We booked the 5-day Ultimate Tour as our birthday present to ourselves and could not be happier. The two-day adventure tour was the absolute best part of the trip!! We saw all of the island highlights; Lake McKenzie was spectacular, Central Station and the sacred Wanggoolba Creek with its pristine and magically clear waters, drove almost the length of 75 Mile Beach and saw the Pinnacles Coloured Sands, Indian Head, the Champagne Pools, the wreck of the Maheno, and floated down Eli Creek all by ourselves!!!! I think I loved Lake Wabby the best and even though there is a bit of a walk in I could still do it with a sore knee and I'm so glad I did it's like nothing else you'll ever see in terms of lakes on sand islands!! But the highlight of the trip was Andy our guide!!! He was AMAZING!! We were like little children, there was nothing Andy didn't know about K'gari!!! "Andy why are the dingoes so skinny?? Andy why is the water so pristine and clear?? Andy what bird is that?? Andy why can't you swim at this beach?? Andy I really should have taken Champagne to drink at Champagne Pools???" Andy could answer everything, and we truly feel like we learnt so much on the tour from the depth of his knowledge. So, an especially big thank you to you Andy for making this such a magic experience. K'gari means "Paradise" to the Butchulla people, its traditional owners and it truly was!! Janice and Graydon Tinto
