The views were amazing! The guided tour was very informative in the history of Gaeta! The boat crew was friendly and it was easy to book!

This evening with Pino Valente was very interesting and a little bit different. He is very knowledgeable about the Cassino battles and provided a unique insight to the war in Italy from an Italian perspective. Nice cheese and wine, many interesting artefacts, and Pino and his team were able to give us much valuable local (topographical) information about places we wanted to visit, and the locations mentioned by my father in his detailed war diary from 1944..

Excellent tour. Small group. Anna was full of interesting facts and anecdotes. We got a really good sense of the various battles and battle strategies. The war graves were very moving and the monestry (story and re-build) was amazing: Anna brought everything to life. Perfect.

Very pleasant boat ride with the opportunity to see many points of interest very helpful and friendly staff. Experience recommended!

It has been an awesome experience. Just after booking, I received through WhatsApp a message with all the details for the travel in the next day. Dileta is a very professional guide giving lots of information about the locations along the tour. The two captains, Dario and Simon, drive the boat very smoothly. Finally the last crew member, the dog, interacts quite pleasantly with the passengers.

Amazing boat tour, wonderful hosts, best part of our day in Gaeta!! The water and scenery was absolutely stunning, and our kind host educated us about the area’s history along the way. We had a stop for optional swimming as the water was cold that day but we all jumped in and had a blast. And while we were enjoying the views and informative host, their sweet and gentle dog joined us on the boat ride and became everyone’s friend❤️ we will never forget this beautiful day, thank you to our kind hosts!! Can’t recommend this enough!

This was a truly special way to end our day in Cassino. Hosted by Pino at his accommodation—surrounded by an evocative collection of World War II artefacts—the experience was both deeply personal and thoughtfully curated.The Experience: Pino shared customized stories with us, with a particular focus on the Canadian contribution to the Battle of Monte Cassino. He tailored the conversation to our family, even drawing connections between our fathers’ wartime paths. It felt less like a tour and more like being welcomed into someone’s home for an intimate conversation about history, memory, and shared legacy.Adding to the evening’s poignancy, we met another guest whose father also fought with the Commonwealth forces. The sense of kinship and quiet reverence was moving.The tasting featured a bottle of Gustav wine—named for the infamous Gustav Line—as well as a generous spread of local meats and cheeses. While it’s clear that the hosts hope guests will also stay overnight at the accommodation, we were only able to join for the aperitivo. Pino and his wife were exceptionally gracious, packing up the wine and charcuterie for us to take with us on the train back to Rome.In Summary: This was more than a food and wine experience—it was a heartfelt tribute to those who fought, told with care and authenticity. For anyone with a personal connection to the war, or simply a deep respect for history, this experience offers a meaningful, human-centred perspective on Monte Cassino.Highly recommended, especially for Canadian and Commonwealth travellers tracing ancestral paths.

Had an amazing time on this tour! Our guide Pino has so much knowledge to share on the battle for Cassino and made it a really enjoyable interesting experience. He's able to gauge what part of the battle his guests are most interested in and make the tour unique to cater to individuals. Would highly recommend to anyone interested in WW2.

We really enjoyed the battlefield tour. Pino will tailor the tour based on what you want to experience. His knowledge of the battle was absolutely incredible. I have done many battlefield tours and have never bene on one where the guide was so knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this extensive tour.

It was a lot of fun! Highly recommend the power rafting! The water was crystal blue/green. And the guides were a lot of fun.

Our tour guide was extremely well versed in Gaeta’s history & historical significance in unification of Italy in the 1860s. The views from the castle overlooking the ocean were spectacular. All churches mentioned in City Boat Tours write-up were seen from exterior only as none were currently open. We did tour the castle - an old prison to criminals including German war criminals. We were introduced to tiella - a local fish pie (amazing) & gelato (of course) There was much more walking than anticipated including very steep hills & steps.,

What can I say, just fantastic. One of the best boat trips I've done. All very well organized and fantastic sea. Special thanks to Luciano who made us live an unforgettable day telling us many anecdotes about the city and its sea. Very prepared and attached to his land made us fall in love with Gaeta even more. The tour was interesting and the spots where we stopped to swim were beautiful. The guy who accompanied us, Luciano, was very kind and helpful for everything.

My partner and I took the boat tour in the Gulf of Gaeta with the aperitif. It was a simply unforgettable experience. Our extremely knowledgeable and passionate Captains have enriched the journey with interesting tales of local history and legends, adding a touch of magic to the entire experience. The boat, comfortable and well equipped, ensured a pleasant and safe navigation. The small group of participants made the atmosphere intimate and relaxing, ideal for those seeking an authentic experience away from the tourist crowds. I highly recommend this tour to anyone wishing to discover the Gulf of Gaeta from a different perspective, immersing themselves in the nature and culture of this beautiful part of Italy. It is an adventure that will surely remain in the hearts of those who live it. And it remained in us.

Good the company is understanding and able to accommodate changes required could not do actual tour but was given option to do it another day
