Had an amazing time with Alfredo

Haven’t been much of a reviewer lately, but had such a good time I had to give Alfredo a shout out on here. Full disclosure, there was a snafu with communication after booking this excursion that almost led me to cancel it, but I decided to stick it out until the last moment. Thankfully I did and Alfredo reached out about a week prior to our date, and we worked out the logistics. Come to find out he had been on vacation for a few weeks so likely an isolated incident.Alfredo picked us up at the port where we found out this would be a private tour, just the wife and I. I’ll be honest, I wasn’t sure how that was gonna go. I’m not the most personable guy and not a huge fan of small talk so. 30 seconds after getting in the van Alfredo had us laughing and it didn’t stop until he dropped us back off at the port. He has an amazing personality that is infectious and by the time we were done I felt like I had spent the day with an old friend, not someone I just met. He’s well educated and traveled, he actually had been to our town before, and will educate you throughout the day on the history of the Islands and the Bahamian people. Did I mention he’s also an aspiring photographer so be ready to strike a pose at his beckon call.As far as the tour itself goes, I had never ridden an E-bike before, so I wasn’t 100% sure what to expect. My wife was a little nervous because she will tell you she isn’t the best bike rider (we’re both in our late 40’s). The wife did perfect and had absolutely no issues. I won’t scare anyone off with how many miles we traveled, just know you don’t need to be a fitness nut or training for the Tour de France to do this excursion. The great thing about E-bikes is you can work as hard, or as little as you want. Don’t tell Alfredo I said this but you actually don’t even need to pedal if you don’t want to, you can use the hand throttles to propel the bike, and you just balance and steer. Majority of the ride was on quite neighborhood streets along the coastline and down millionaire’s row. We stopped to get educated on conch, the wife was NOT a fan, and ate lunch on a beautiful beach. Very diverse menu, from chicken tenders, burgers, salads, and some seafood options. Alfredo kept us hydrated throughout the tour with water and even provided us with a tasty adult beverage at one of the stops. Overall, we had a great time. On a side note, don’t be alarmed by all the cars honking at you as they pass, apparently they are “hi” honks to Alfredo because after all, “it’s a small island.”
