Highly recommend this tour! Ned is an excellent tour guide. He knows Roanoke history and also all about the food scene in Roanoke. The food was delicious, definitely a full meal' s worth by the end of the tour. Our group was very pleasantly surprised by the dish at Stock - Kapsalon -a very unique and delicious offering on a base of french fries! Tour is a great way to learn about Roanoke and try new foods.

An awesome adventure, and Sean was an excellent guide !!! As a longtime resident of Roanoke, it was amazing to see the city going up and down Mill Mountain on an E-Bike. Fun Time !!!

I had an amazing MTB tour with Sean from Roanoke Mountain Adventures on Saturday morning. Sean took the time to call me before the ride to get an idea of my skill levels. I had originally planned to do a different guided ride, but based on what I told him he tailor fit a guided tour that far more suited to my riding abilities.I had a blast on this trip, and would highly recommend this to anyone heading up to this area who is unfamiliar with the local trail systems. They are HUGE and having a guide who can help you find the right trails, and give you advice on the best directions to ride them is a big help.I plan to be back in the area in a few months and will definitely book with Roanoke Mountain Adventures again.

Great communication and experience! Our guide, Sean, gave us the opportunity to customize our ride as we went, making it as adventurous or relaxing as we preferred. He also provided great instructions as often as we wanted. The ride had great views and was a fun way to spend an afternoon in Roanoke! I wouldn't change a thing.

So easy to book and ride. First time in Roanoke. One purpose was to try out an e-Bike for the first time and ride the Greenway. The employees of the store were so helpful in getting us fitted and started. Entire process was so easy and pleasant. Would definitely recommend.

BlueRidge Parkway tour was nothing short of delightful - it was like skipping through a picturesque postcard brought to life! The winding roads, breathtaking mountain views, made for an unforgettable journey. From spotting turkeys grazing along the road to soaking in the beginnings of fall foliage, just about every roadside vista was like stepping into a Bob Ross painting. We so enjoyed the narrator and all the information given during the tour. Would most definitely recommend. We did have a little problem with gps when way up in the mountains, but it picked up quickly.

At a normal water level, it's a nice relaxing tube float down about two miles of the Roanoke River. I took a DSLR keeping it in my lap mostly, but held it overhead for the manageable "rapids". I'll have to post some photos at a later time as I forgot to bring a card-reader with me for the camera.

Sean at Roanoke Mountain Adventures was amazing!! We did our employee appreciation party here and had the best time on the river. Sean gave clear instructions and allowed our group to really enjoy ourselves ! We appreciate you all and thank you for such an amazing experience!

Most time we take tours, you are on a van or bus with a lot of strangers while the guide tells you about the sites. We decided to try this experience WITHOUT the bus and strangers. The guide instead of being a person was an auto tour program called "Adventures with Action" we purchased through City Boat Tours .This is the first time we have used an auto tour program. We were in Roanoke Virginia and wanted to drive the Blue Ridge Parkway. This audio tour covered from Roanoke to Afton Virginia along the Blue Ridge highway. At first we had trouble getting the program to work. We had my phone connected to Android Auto in our Toyota. The problem was every time we started the program, our Pandora would start playing and cut off the audio tour. What we finally did was delete Pandora from my phone, then the touring program worked perfectly. Just turning Pandora off didn't work.I was amazed the audio program knew where we were and would turn on and off automatically telling interesting information about a stop just up ahead. On the Blue Ridge parkway, there are a number of turn offs. So the program told you which turnoff was coming up and what was to see there and why it was named what it was named. And in between stops he gave historical information about the area and what you were seeing. All very interesting. In 3 hours we had 62 audio sessions. One came up every couple of minutes making the trip very appealing.The person who spoke did a great job and made listening to him enjoyable. I guess, he had to be a professional actor or voice over artist. Either way, the voicing was great.Another nice feature was you could have the program, through Google Maps, take you from where ever you are (in our case Hotel Roanoke) and direct you to the starting point (on the Blue Ridge Parkway). VERY HELPFULL!!!!! Once at the starting point (and we removed Pandora) the program ran without a hitch.My wife and I were very happy with this product and plan to use similar products on future trips.

Very nice paddle down the Roanoke. Higher-than-normal water level provided a combination of flow and calm…plenty of time to float plus sections of enjoyable rapids. A lot of nature on display as well including heron, ducks and turtles. Sean and staff were excellent to work with. I would recommend this.
