Great free little tour with map that you can follow along with. Definitely kept our interest up and we learned a lot! Definitely essential for the driving tour!

We were given clear instruction on where to go and went on a golf cart out to the farm! All the animals were so cute and we got to pet all of them :) Brandon gave us information about all the animals and was very friendly and welcoming. He told us about the bee hives and showed us the honeycombs inside. He and his family are definitely very passionate about the farm. Definitely worth the visit!!

The tour was amazing. I never would have attempted some of these routes, but the narrated navigation gave me the courage to trek through the mountains for amazing views and life experiences. I thought my family would be bored. Not so. They loved it. My city-girl wife wants to redo it another time and hit the alternative stops. The stories were a little corny but gave me confidence that the app was working between stops. My teenagers hushed up for the stories as well.

My husbands family is from this area. Sometimes you take for granted the places you visit frequently. This was an informative way to see some of the same sights we have already seen while visiting. I want to take our children on it with us next time.

Zip lining was a completely new experience for me and my partner and we had such a great time doing it for the first time here. Everything went smoothly and our instructors were so much fun, especially Liz! I was freaked out because I am afraid of heights but for those like me, this really was NOT bad at all. As quickly as it starts it’s already over so fast. I wanted to keep going and going after the first run! This is something I will absolutely do again.

We had so much fun on the Zipline, but what made it even better was the awesome tour guides! Lindsey, Liz, and Ryan were so much fun! They really seemed to love what they do and their positivity and laughter was infectious ☺️ Highly recommend!

Totally worth it. Great way to learn some history about the town and she kept the stories very engaging!

We had a great time with our guide "old" Dalton rafting the Upper New. We did the family tour as our kids were with us but even us adults had a blast. There were others in our group that didn't even have kids with them. Dalton made it fun for the kids during the slower parts of the river by letting them swim, have ducky wars and even doing "rodeo" with them on the raft. It was such a fun day had by all and the highlight of our week long road trip!

We had so much fun playing for the day. We were first in line when they opened and it took a little time for them to find our waivers we had filled out online. The line after us got a bit long. Not sure if there is a way to streamline the process but wasn't bad. Once in we had a blast. We were there on a Saturday in the summer and I thought it would be crazy crowded but it wasn't. The kids had a blast and the adults were reminded we need to workout more. We didn't eat there but the food from the restaurant looked amazing. There were lots of chairs available all around the lake. Bathrooms and changing rooms where large. They have changing rooms outside the park as well which was nice to change before it opened.

Kaitlen was an amazing story teller. My family of 7 all enjoyed the tales and each came away with a different favorite “ghost”

Ace is Ace!Tip#1- Get the full wetsuit kit. The river is dam fed…meaning the water at the bottom of the lake feeds the river so…cold! Tip#2- listen to the guide and be prepared to paddle your heart out…this is not a float trip. This is not a river you swim in. But it can be the best ride of your life if you are ready to put the work in.Bobby (has also done tours in Oregon whitewater but has been with Ace for 4-5 years) was an awesome tour guide! No Koolaids here! Our group had two inexperienced and four experienced rafters…he tested our ability and took us exactly where we needed to be. Awesome ride!!! This guy knows the Gauley. We got to do the extra fun stuff without any mishaps!!! He really knows his stuff and, on the Gauley, it is absolutely paramount that you get a guide that knows their stuff!BTW….there is another guide at Ace referred to as Nugget. This guy navigates the river better than the damned fish! There was an incident that he went to check on. I kid you not..the man hiked and swam the terrain faster than anything. Pops up his head on the side of our raft and is like “I need a ride”. We obliged….and then hops back out to swim to shore like a friggin Appalachian Merman to get back to his own raft. Did I mention the Gauley is not a river you swim??? But he did it like he was taking a stroll down the street.If Bobby isn’t available for your Gauley adventures, I can promise you that Nugget knows that river better than you know your wife and will give you the ride of a lifetime as well. Whitewater guides are a breed unto themselves and I’ve been rafting for over 15 years…both of these gentlemen are a cut above and are experts at what they do.

We really enjoyed the Museum at the capital. Two hours were all we allowed for our visit. it was not enough time. Charleston was just one day out of seven in West Virginia. We had a great time espechally at the state parks. Only disappointment was that some of the things we had hoped to do were open only on weekends. make sure to check the hours that any thing you want to do will be open.

Great rafting experience for the whole family. Perfect combo of adventure with class III rapids and relaxing when floating down river. Had time to swim and even jump off a tall rock.
